Medicare clients struggle
to obtain medication locally.
Bellingham Herald
Bellingham resident Paul Moore went without
some of his medication last week, waiting for his insurance card to arrive for
the new Medicare prescription drug plan. Moore, who was automatically enrolled
in the plan as of Jan. 1 because he also receives Medicaid, wanted to wait to
fill his prescriptions until he had proof he was covered, he said. So he took
two pills a day instead of the three his doctor prescribed while he waited for
his insurance card to arrive.
