I am an estate planner
and elder law attorney dedicated to providing comprehensive, highly
personalized estate planning and asset protection services to you,
your families and your businesses. After listening closely to your
goals, dreams and concerns, I put my knowledge and experience to
work for you to develop plans that reflect your own unique
situations. I believe that technical understanding tempered with
human compassion is needed if I am to effectively assist you in
crisis situations, such as when a spouse or parent is about to enter
a nursing home, or when you are administering an estate plan after
the death of a loved one.
Professional organizations to which I belong include the Ventura
County Bar Association; the Estate Planning Council of Ventura
County; Attorneys for Family Held Enterprises; and the National
Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. For 2003, I am serving as Chairman
of the Board of Directors of The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura,
which provides free programs of education, support and hope to
people with cancer and their families.
I graduated from the University of
California at Berkeley in 1979 with great distinction and high
honors. I earned my Juris Doctorate with honors from Duke University
School of Law in 1983. I extend my educational experience by helping
other planning professionals. For example, the September 1999 issue
of the Journal of Asset Protection featured an article I wrote on
asset protection trusts, and I have made presentations to a number
of associations of tax and financial professionals. |
